Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Blathmacc Cronin kicked off to start the match. Daithi Myler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blathmacc Cronin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the game, Ardán Cronin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caltragh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derrymullen the free kick. After a rather tough play, Caltragh's Ardán Cronin got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 6th minute, Brite McTom sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Caltragh's Daithi Myler didn't even have to move. In the 12th match minute, Derrymullen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Healey McDecland to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Brenda McDonald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Perry Willson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Brenda McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Perry Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ardán Cronin hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Beara McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi Myler having to interfere. Brenda McDonald recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Blathmacc Cronin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beara McSteven could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Daithi Myler made a huge save. Beara McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi Myler having to interfere. Blathmacc Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Blathmacc Cronin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Beara McSteven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brenda McDonald to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Caltragh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bran McGlenn to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blathmacc Cronin in the 54th minute of play forced Caltragh's goalkeeper Daithi Myler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beara McSteven struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Daithi Myler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Derrymullen. After 58 played minutes Caltragh got a freekick which was hit by Russ McTom . 59 minutes into the match, Derrymullen's Brite McTom broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 61 minutes into the match, Beara McSteven had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daithi Myler. Caltragh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beara McSteven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Beara McSteven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derrymullen's supporters rose to their feet, but Beara McSteven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daithi Myler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69thth minute of the game Beara McSteven who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caltragh's Daithi Myler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blathmacc Cronin in the 72nd minute of play forced Caltragh's goalkeeper Daithi Myler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beara McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi Myler having to interfere. Blathmacc Cronin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Daithi Myler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beara McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi Myler having to interfere. Daithi Myler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blathmacc Cronin's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After 84 played minutes Caltragh got a freekick which was hit by Russ McTom . Daithi Myler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beara McSteven in the 85th minute of the match. Beara McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daithi Myler having to interfere. Blathmacc Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Russ McTom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daithi Myler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beara McSteven, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute of the match Healey McDecland shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daithi Myler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Blathmacc Cronin took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daithi Myler. Daithi Myler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Derrymullen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
