Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Blathmacc Cronin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Brannon Ferguson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blathmacc Cronin, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 9 played minutes Derrymullen got a freekick which was hit by Healey McDecland. Perry Willson made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Blanaid Palmer sent off a good shot on target. Beara McSteven blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brannon Ferguson having to make a save. Brannon Ferguson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blathmacc Cronin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Blanaid Palmer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Derrymullen booed when Drumfergus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conleth Jameson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Brite McTom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brannon Ferguson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Brannon Ferguson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blathmacc Cronin's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Patraic McNamee kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Healey McDecland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brannon Ferguson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beara McSteven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beara McSteven blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brannon Ferguson having to make a save. After 41 played minutes Drumfergus got a freekick which was hit by Conleth Jameson. When Blathmacc Cronin came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Derrymullen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blathmacc Cronin couldn't finish the play. Blathmacc Cronin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Brannon Ferguson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Breed Tracy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Samueil Murphy suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Brannon Ferguson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blathmacc Cronin in the 54th minute of play. After 54 played minutes Drumfergus got a freekick which was hit by Conleth Jameson. Derrymullen's Beara McSteven got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beara McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brannon Ferguson having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Drumfergus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patraic McNamee to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Brite McTom sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brannon Ferguson skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Drumfergus's zone, Beara McSteven stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brannon Ferguson came out of the goal and Beara McSteven tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theobald McCready hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The supporters of Derrymullen booed when Drumfergus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breed Tracy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Conleth Jameson kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Brite McTom, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Brannon Ferguson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blathmacc Cronin in the 76th minute of play. In the 80th minute Blathmacc Cronin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brannon Ferguson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beara McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brannon Ferguson having to interfere. Brite McTom hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Drumfergus succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Derrymullen had controlled the match.
