After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Donlevy McAaron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballinadee's supporters rose to their feet, but Donlevy McAaron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ainnle McWilliam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ainnle McWilliam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coileán Scully in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Doonally's Brady McDonald got a free kick in the 10th minute. The supporters of Ballinadee booed when Doonally was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seosamh McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theodore Morrison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seosamh McPeter in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Biddy Byrne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theodore Morrison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seosamh McPeter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Coileán Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coileán Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ainnle McWilliam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes of play, Ballinadee's Coileán Scully made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ainnle McWilliam was left in no man's land by his defense there! Theodore Morrison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brady McDonald in the 37th minute of the match. When Coileán Scully came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ballinadee fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Coileán Scully couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Coileán Scully had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ainnle McWilliam. Doonally's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Coileán Scully was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donlevy McAaron in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ainnle McWilliam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 54 minutes into the match, Doonally's goal looked a bit too open when Donlevy McAaron came free, but Ainnle McWilliam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theodore Morrison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seosamh McPeter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donlevy McAaron struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ainnle McWilliam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballinadee. Lee John kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 72nd minute by Blayne McPeter got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Doonally's Seosamh McPeter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Theodore Morrison. That made the score 2-1 after 76 minutes of play. Blayne McPeter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Seosamh McPeter charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seosamh McPeter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Doonally got a freekick which was hit by Seosamh McPeter. A collision led to Ballinadee getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Tevis Hamilton hit a great ball. Ballinadee's Theodore Morrison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Ballinadee from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ballinadee booed when Doonally was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seosamh McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lorcan Dunne kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ballinadee had won after a very even match.
