Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cloon's Donegal Beckett started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Boudibiua Jameson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Killygar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Boudibiua Jameson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bannon Ryan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Brefni Frankson fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Killygar FC's protests and gave Brefni Frankson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cloon booed when Killygar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brefni Frankson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Cloon's Donegal Beckett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert McBrand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Killygar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donegal Beckett came free, but Robert McBrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Cloon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braydon Gollogley to maneuver through the defense. If Begg Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert McBrand having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Donegal Beckett recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robert McBrand. Donegal Beckett showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Robert McBrand made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Baolach Colwell sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Killygar FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Braydon Gollogley was slow to take the kick. During this time Cloon's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glen McWilliam got free with Robert McBrand in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Donegal Beckett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert McBrand was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Killygar FC's Brefni Frankson got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute Donegal Beckett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert McBrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert McBrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donegal Beckett in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Glen McWilliam made a precise shot to the right of Robert McBrand. Killygar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 65 minutes into the game, Donegal Beckett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Robert McBrand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Robert McBrand came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Cloon's Baolach Colwell. But to his dismay, Baolach Colwell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donegal Beckett in the 77th minute of play forced Killygar FC's goalkeeper Robert McBrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boudibiua Jameson's late challenge caught a Cloon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boudibiua Jameson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cloon booed when Killygar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boudibiua Jameson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glen McWilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert McBrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glen McWilliam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Cloon. Braydon Gollogley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Robert McBrand. 6-0. 95 minutes into the match, Roland McPhil notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Killygar FC's Robert McBrand. Robert McBrand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cloon's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
