When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Burke Caffey made a kick off. A collision led to Spancelhill getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Donavon Tracy hit a great ball. Finnahy's Lorcan McSteven got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Lorcan McSteven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Finnahy's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorcan McSteven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boylan McGlynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boylan McGlynn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lorcan McSteven in the 61st minute.
