When Quirk McVictor fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloughjordan's protests and gave Quirk McVictor a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Cloughjordan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quirk McVictor to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Donavin McJohnny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian McGlenn hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Cloughjordan's Pearson Dillon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donavin McJohnny in the 14th minute of play. Brian MaCollin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaire O'Down having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pearce Brennan in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pearson Dillon saved Cloughjordan from getting behind. Donavin McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pearce Brennan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pearson Dillon having to interfere. When Donavin McJohnny came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Lenankeel Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donavin McJohnny couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Rutherford in the 34th minute of play forced Lenankeel Utd's goalkeeper Blaire O'Down to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bradley Rutherford came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Cloughjordan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradley Rutherford couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Bradley Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blaire O'Down saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flann Bayes charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flann Bayes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Blavock Savic shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Pearce Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Pearson Dillon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Tevis Barrett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bradley Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaire O'Down having to interfere. Barran McNamee charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barran McNamee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cloughjordan's Pearson Dillon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Cloughjordan from getting a goal against them. Bradley Rutherford struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Blaire O'Down didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloughjordan. If Brian MaCollin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lenankeel Utd booed when Cloughjordan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quirk McVictor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes Lenankeel Utd got a freekick which was hit by Saoirse Ryan. Brian MaCollin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Blaire O'Down tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pearce Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Pearson Dillon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 85 minutes into the match, Lenankeel Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Bradley Rutherford came free, but Blaire O'Down reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lenankeel Utd's Tevis Barrett got a free kick in the 87th minute. Blavock Savic was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Bradley Rutherford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donavin McJohnny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
