Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brannon Dunne started the match with the kick off. Seosamh Hutton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Brannon Dunne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bannon Ryan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 13 played minutes Greenore got a freekick which was hit by Quinton Doyle. After recieving a nice pass, Cloon's Braydon Gollogley tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Donegal Beckett took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baran Lavine. Baran Lavine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Bannon Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brannon Dunne in the 21st minute of the match. If Brannon Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 32 minutes, Brannon Dunne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brannon Dunne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Brannon Dunne came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Greenore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brannon Dunne couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cloon getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Roland McPhil hit a great ball. If Brannon Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donegal Beckett to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Brannon Dunne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Cloon's Glen McWilliam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baran Lavine narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bannon Ryan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seosamh Hutton in the 68th minute. If Seosamh Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cloon getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Baolach Colwell hit a great ball. Cloon's Bannon Ryan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Cloon from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute Brannon Dunne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bannon Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baran Lavine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donegal Beckett, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Seosamh Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Donegal Beckett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bricin McWillie's late challenge caught a Cloon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bricin McWillie helped the player get up and apologised. 91 minutes into the match, Donegal Beckett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baran Lavine. Greenore's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donegal Beckett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Baolach Colwell came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Cloon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baolach Colwell couldn't finish the play.
