The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Desmond Prunty blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bannon Ryan having to make a save. 4 minutes into the match, Cloon's goal looked a bit too open when Desmond Prunty came free, but Bannon Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cloon's goalkeeper Bannon Ryan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Moyard fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Moyard's Rory McGlynn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Moyard's Rourke Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donegal Beckett in the 13th minute of play. Glen McWilliam in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The wind increased when Desmond Prunty made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Desmond Prunty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bannon Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cloon's Bannon Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desmond Prunty in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Moyard's zone, Donegal Beckett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rourke Ryan came out of the goal and Donegal Beckett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Glen McWilliam came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Cloon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glen McWilliam couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes of play, Cloon's Glen McWilliam made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rourke Ryan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the match, Cloon's Donegal Beckett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rourke Ryan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rory McGlynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adamnan Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bannon Ryan having to interfere. Desmond Prunty struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Bannon Ryan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moyard. Bannon Ryan stood somewhat misplaced when Desmond Prunty came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 76 minute. Bannon Ryan made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Rory McGlynn sent off a good shot on target. Glen McWilliam charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glen McWilliam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cloon getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Glen McWilliam hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Cloon's goalkeeper Bannon Ryan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rory McGlynn. 86 minutes into the match, Cloon's goal looked a bit too open when Desmond Prunty came free, but Bannon Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cloon's Roland McPhil got a free kick in the 87th minute. Moyard's Beara Jameson got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
