Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Donegal Beckett made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Cloughjordan booed when Cloon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braydon Gollogley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donegal Beckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pearson Dillon having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glen McWilliam got free with Pearson Dillon in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cloughjordan's Pearson Dillon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donegal Beckett in the 19th minute of play. Quirk McVictor's late challenge caught a Cloon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quirk McVictor helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Cloughjordan got a freekick which was hit by Quirk McVictor. After 24 played minutes Cloon got a freekick which was hit by Roland McPhil. If Brian MaCollin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donegal Beckett during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cloon getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Donegal Beckett hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Glen McWilliam notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Cloughjordan's Pearson Dillon. Pearson Dillon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cloughjordan's Pearson Dillon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Cloughjordan from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Quirk McVictor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donegal Beckett in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pearson Dillon saved Cloughjordan from getting behind. With a little luck, Cloughjordan's Pearson Dillon got control of the ball when Glen McWilliam tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bradley Rutherford was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Cloughjordan's goal looked a bit too open when Donegal Beckett came free, but Pearson Dillon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Cloon's Donegal Beckett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pearson Dillon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Glen McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Cloon fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Cloon's Donegal Beckett looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cloughjordan's Pearson Dillon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glen McWilliam in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glen McWilliam in the 76th minute of play forced Cloughjordan's goalkeeper Pearson Dillon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glen McWilliam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pearson Dillon having to make a save. 85 minutes into the match, Brian MaCollin notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cloon's Bannon Ryan. Bannon Ryan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th match minute, Cloon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baolach Colwell to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donegal Beckett in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pearson Dillon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, Cloughjordan's goal looked a bit too open when Glen McWilliam came free, but Pearson Dillon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pearson Dillon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donegal Beckett in the 94th minute of the match.
