Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donavon McJames got the match started through his kick off. Gearard McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brannon Dunne in the 4th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Greenore's goal looked a bit too open when Donavon McJames came free, but Baran Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Greenore's Brannon Dunne got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Seosamh Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes in the game, Brannon Dunne fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gearard McJohnny having to interfere. Arthur McAlphie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baran Lavine having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Clooncogaile's Boynton Deans got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match Harold Jameson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gearard McJohnny showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Clooncogaile's Gearard McJohnny got control of the ball when Seosamh Hutton tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Brannon Dunne made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Clooncogaile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ros McLaughlin to maneuver through the defense. After 59 minutes, Boynton Deans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clooncogaile and the Greenore players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Clooncogaile got a freekick which was hit by Boynton Deans. Harold Jameson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gearard McJohnny. Clooncogaile's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Greenore's Brannon Dunne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gearard McJohnny made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Seosamh Hutton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gearard McJohnny having to make a save. Baran Lavine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arthur McAlphie went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Baran Lavine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arthur McAlphie in the 72nd minute. Arthur McAlphie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Baran Lavine made a huge save. Arthur McAlphie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baran Lavine came out and tried to block the shot, but Arthur McAlphie slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 76th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Clooncogaile's goal looked a bit too open when Seosamh Hutton came free, but Gearard McJohnny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Donavon McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arthur McAlphie succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 94th playminute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Clooncogaile had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
