When Quinton Doyle fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greenore's protests and gave Quinton Doyle a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Greenore's Quinton Doyle got a free kick in the 46th minute. Greenore's Baran Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donegal Beckett in the 47th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donegal Beckett was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Cloon's goal looked a bit too open when Brannon Dunne came free, but Bannon Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Greenore's Seosamh Hutton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bannon Ryan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Seosamh Hutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bannon Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cloon's zone, Brannon Dunne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bannon Ryan came out of the goal and Brannon Dunne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Cloon's goal looked a bit too open when Seosamh Hutton came free, but Bannon Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cloon getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Baolach Colwell hit a great ball. Bannon Ryan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brannon Dunne's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Glen McWilliam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloon's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen McWilliam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baran Lavine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
