Boylan McGlynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Begg Brennan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The supporters of Spancelhill booed when Killygar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. David MaCollin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Spancelhill got a freekick which was hit by Blanaid Savic. Boylan McGlynn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Begg Brennan went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 43 minutes, Berach Cassin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Killygar FC and the Spancelhill players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd match minute, Killygar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berach Cassin to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Brendon Grant in the 44th minute really tested Robert McBrand's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Killygar FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Boudibiua Jameson hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boudibiua Jameson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Enda McCollion came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Spancelhill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enda McCollion couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 65 in the game by Boudibiua Jameson from a close distance when the talented Boylan McGlynn managed to make a qualified save. Spancelhill's players were relieved. If Enda McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enda McCollion in the 71st minute of play forced Killygar FC's goalkeeper Robert McBrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Begg Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Boylan McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Killygar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bearnad Glen Crowe to maneuver through the defense. Robert McBrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rannal Costello in the 79th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Spancelhill's zone, Berkley McJon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boylan McGlynn came out of the goal and Berkley McJon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When David MaCollin came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Killygar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David MaCollin couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Killygar FC's Boudibiua Jameson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Boylan McGlynn. That made the score 0-3 after 84 minutes of play. Ryland Moran's late challenge caught a Spancelhill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryland Moran helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Killygar FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ryland Moran hit a great ball. Robert McBrand came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Spancelhill's Enda McCollion. But to his dismay, Enda McCollion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Boudibiua Jameson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Boylan McGlynn made a huge save.
