The Botinny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex McGlenn should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute Torin Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex McGlenn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Botinny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reilley Beckett to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caroll Doherty in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex McGlenn saved Botinny from getting behind. The corner led Botinny's Farrell McLiam to fire away a dangerous shot which Ailín Callaghan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 31 minutes, Bairne Ramsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Botinny and the Kilmalkedar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rowe Glen Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ailín Callaghan having to interfere. Alex McGlenn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torin Ryan in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex McGlenn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caroll Doherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex McGlenn having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torin Ryan to strike the kick off in the second half. Alex McGlenn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Donlevy McOliver showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play. Alex McGlenn made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Caroll Doherty sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Rowe Glen Crowe made a precise shot to the right of Ailín Callaghan. Kilmalkedar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. A collision led to Kilmalkedar getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Riley McOliver hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kilmalkedar's zone, Rowe Glen Crowe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ailín Callaghan came out of the goal and Rowe Glen Crowe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Torin Ryan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botinny's Alex McGlenn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kilmalkedar's Torin Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caroll Doherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
