A hard shot 10 in the game by Caroll Doherty from a close distance when the talented Arthur Myler managed to make a qualified save. Coolearagh's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as Kilmalkedar's Torin Ryan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arthur Myler. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. In the 17th minute, Bedilia McBrandon made a precise shot to the right of Ailín Callaghan. Kilmalkedar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bedilia McBrandon in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ailín Callaghan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kilmalkedar's Ailín Callaghan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleary Hamilton in the 22nd minute of play. Ailín Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleary Hamilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cleary Hamilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coolearagh's supporters rose to their feet, but Cleary Hamilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ailín Callaghan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torin Ryan in the 33rd minute of play forced Coolearagh's goalkeeper Arthur Myler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Kilmalkedar getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Donlevy McOliver hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Torin Ryan took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Arthur Myler to make any attempt to save it. Bedilia McBrandon charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bedilia McBrandon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Coolearagh's Bedilia McBrandon got a free kick in the 45th minute. Arthur Myler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torin Ryan in the 48th minute of the match.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bedilia McBrandon made a kick off. Arthur Myler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caroll Doherty in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kilmalkedar's Riley McOliver got a free kick in the 55th minute. 62 minutes into the game, Caroll Doherty cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Arthur Myler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Cleary Hamilton came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Coolearagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleary Hamilton couldn't finish the play. Bedilia McBrandon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ailín Callaghan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Coolearagh:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kilmalkedar:s goal. Coolearagh:s Arthur Myler showed great skill when he stopped Thomas McCready:s penalty. Torin Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caroll Doherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Myler having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torin Ryan in the 89th minute of play forced Coolearagh's goalkeeper Arthur Myler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Caroll Doherty left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kilmalkedar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kilmalkedar had won after a very even match.
