Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Coolearagh's Bedilia McBrandon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Mardyke got a freekick which was hit by Joseph McDonald. The supporters of Coolearagh booed when Mardyke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bera McLiam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bebhinn Holt made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Cleary Hamilton sent off a good shot on target. Coolearagh's Arthur Myler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyton Dalton in the 7th minute of play. Emmet Grant made a great header on Mardyke's corner, it was just that Coolearagh's Arthur Myler managed to reach the ball for a save. Bras McLiam charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bras McLiam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Bras McLiam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coolearagh's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emmet Grant was slow to take the kick. During this time Mardyke's players had a chance to rest. After 13 played minutes Coolearagh got a freekick which was hit by Cashel Brennan. After having played for 14 minutes, Peyton Dalton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mardyke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peyton Dalton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Coolearagh's Bedilia McBrandon got a free kick in the 16th minute. Peyton Dalton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Arthur Myler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleary Hamilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bras McLiam hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The supporters of Coolearagh booed when Mardyke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adamnan John didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Coolearagh's goal looked a bit too open when Peyton Dalton came free, but Arthur Myler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes in the game, Braddon Doherty dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Arthur Myler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradner Frankson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braddon Doherty in the 41st minute of play forced Coolearagh's goalkeeper Arthur Myler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur Myler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradner Frankson in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bradner Frankson to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braddon Doherty in the 51st minute of play forced Coolearagh's goalkeeper Arthur Myler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradner Frankson scored 0-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arthur Myler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bradner Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Arthur Myler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arthur Myler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bradner Frankson went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Bourns Caffey's late challenge caught a Mardyke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bourns Caffey helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Coolearagh's Bourns Caffey got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to Coolearagh getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Artt Ramsey hit a great ball. Arthur Myler was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peyton Dalton showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. After 83 played minutes Coolearagh got a freekick which was hit by Bras McLiam. 86 minutes into the game, Tadhg Dimson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coolearagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mardyke the free kick. 85 minutes into the game, one of Coolearagh:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, Mardyke's Bradner Frankson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arthur Myler. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Bradner Frankson took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Arthur Myler to make any attempt to save it. 98 minutes into the match, Coolearagh's goalkeeper Arthur Myler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bradner Frankson. Mardyke's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
