Caroll Doherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Keely Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keely Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caroll Doherty in the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Narraghmore AFC's Brenda Molloy got a free kick in the 31st minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keely Palmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute, Caroll Doherty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Narraghmore AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kilmalkedar were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brenan McTom was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torin Ryan in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keely Palmer saved Narraghmore AFC from getting behind. After 56 played minutes Narraghmore AFC got a freekick which was hit by Phillip Murphy . After a rather tough play, Kilmalkedar's Thomas McCready got a free kick in the 61st minute. Keely Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torin Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Caroll Doherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the game, Irwin McOliver cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ailín Callaghan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Pearse Deery fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Narraghmore AFC's protests and gave Pearse Deery a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Narraghmore AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Pearse Deery hit a great ball. If Torin Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 minutes of play, Narraghmore AFC's Brenan McTom made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ailín Callaghan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Kilmalkedar's Binean Prunty got a free kick in the 87th minute. With a little luck, Narraghmore AFC's Keely Palmer got control of the ball when Caroll Doherty tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brenan McTom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ailín Callaghan having to interfere. Keely Palmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caroll Doherty in the 95th minute. 97 minutes into the game, Torin Ryan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Keely Palmer. Torin Ryan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2.
