Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Braden Palmer started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Conn Martyn in the 6th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Brannon Keegan kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. If Braden Palmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caolán Martyn took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaynor Bayes. Gaynor Bayes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 25th minute of the match, Braden Palmer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brannon Keegan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 28 minutes, Breffni Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drumbeg AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breffni Willson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaynor Bayes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caolán Martyn in the 31st minute of play. Conan Deans hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Conn Martyn's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Brannon Keegan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Conn Martyn who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Brannon Keegan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 45th minute, Crossna's Braden Palmer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brannon Keegan. Brannon Keegan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Breffni Willson to make the kick off. Caolán Martyn struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Gaynor Bayes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumbeg AFC. Riddoc Dalton kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Brannon Keegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conn Martyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Braden Palmer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brannon Keegan was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braden Palmer in the 76th minute of play forced Drumbeg AFC's goalkeeper Brannon Keegan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Breffni Willson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gaynor Bayes. The goal made the score 3-2. Braden Palmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Crossna's zone, Bin Benson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaynor Bayes came out of the goal and Bin Benson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bil McLaughlin kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. 99 minutes had been played when some careless play by Drumbeg AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Todd Martyn was slow to take the kick. During this time Crossna's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Scothine McLaughlin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. For all the effort they put into the match, the Drumbeg AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Crossna.
