After a defensive mix-up in Botinny's zone, Braden Palmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex McGlenn came out of the goal and Braden Palmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Conn Martyn took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex McGlenn. Alex McGlenn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The nice shot from Conn Martyn in the 26thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Alex McGlenn had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 29 minutes into the match, Conn Martyn notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Botinny's Alex McGlenn. Alex McGlenn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Botinny's goalkeeper Alex McGlenn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conn Martyn. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bradley Hughes was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Botinny booed when Crossna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartel McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rowe Glen Crowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex McGlenn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braden Palmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Braden Palmer in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex McGlenn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aaron Doherty's late challenge caught a Crossna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Doherty helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Botinny's Aaron Doherty got a free kick in the 74th minute. Alex McGlenn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conn Martyn went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Conn Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alex McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Crossna had played much better football throughout.
