Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Donelle Dempsey started the match with the kick off. After 6 minutes, Alex Scully mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carrigeen and the Celbridge FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pawd Frankson in the 15th minute of play forced Carrigeen's goalkeeper Bearnad John to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bivitas McDecland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bearnad John showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ravan Branson in the 21st minute of the match. Bivitas McDecland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Caimin McMichel made a huge save. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carrigeen's goalkeeper Bearnad John, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, Carrigeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harkin Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. When Bivitas McDecland came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Carrigeen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bivitas McDecland couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Celbridge FC booed when Carrigeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donelle Dempsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pawd Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Rownun Hunt notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Carrigeen's Bearnad John. Bearnad John was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Celbridge FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Donelle Dempsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caimin McMichel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donelle Dempsey ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Carrigeen's Bearnad John got control of the ball when Rownun Hunt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Celbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bivitas McDecland came free, but Caimin McMichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pawd Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pawd Frankson in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bearnad John saved Carrigeen from getting behind. Pawd Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Carrigeen's goal looked a bit too open when Pawd Frankson came free, but Bearnad John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Bivitas McDecland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrigeen's supporters rose to their feet, but Bivitas McDecland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caimin McMichel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the match, Celbridge FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donelle Dempsey came free, but Caimin McMichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes Carrigeen got a freekick which was hit by Bivitas McDecland. Rollan McTommy hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donelle Dempsey in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caimin McMichel saved Celbridge FC from getting behind. Carrigeen's Bearnad John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pawd Frankson in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Pawd Frankson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celbridge FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pawd Frankson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bearnad John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rownun Hunt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Bearnad John made a huge save. In the 87th minute, Bivitas McDecland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bearnad John made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Rownun Hunt sent off a good shot on target. Rownun Hunt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Bearnad John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Carrigeen supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Celbridge FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Celbridge FC.
