Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aban Ramsey started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Henry Brennan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bearnad John was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After 5 played minutes Carrigeen got a freekick which was hit by Alex Scully. Aban Ramsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Bearnad John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Henry Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. Cloghan's Blathma Bayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donelle Dempsey in the 32nd minute of play. Bearnad John made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Brennan in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Cloghan booed when Carrigeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Scully didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Scully charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Scully the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Carrigeen got a freekick which was hit by Alex Scully. When Aban Ramsey fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cloghan's protests and gave Aban Ramsey a yellow card for diving instead. If Donelle Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donelle Dempsey to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Cloghan's Devlin Colwell got a free kick in the 50th minute. The supporters of Cloghan booed when Carrigeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harkin Sheridan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Carrigeen's goal looked a bit too open when Aban Ramsey came free, but Bearnad John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 played minutes Carrigeen got a freekick which was hit by Harkin Sheridan. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aban Ramsey in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bearnad John saved Carrigeen from getting behind. The supporters of Cloghan booed when Carrigeen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Scully didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bearnad John made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henry Brennan in the 62nd minute. Bivitas McDecland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blathma Bayes having to make a save. After 76 minutes of play Cloghan's Aban Ramsey was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Cloghan's Aban Ramsey got a free kick in the 77th minute. Blathma Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bivitas McDecland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Donelle Dempsey came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Carrigeen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donelle Dempsey couldn't finish the play. Henry Brennans short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Bearnad John to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Henry Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
