Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Donelle Dempsey started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Carrigeen booed when Gortrelig Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewy McVictor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Jeremiah Gollogley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bearnad John saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gortrelig Utd's Bevan Gollogley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donelle Dempsey in the 10th minute of play. Bivitas McDecland scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bevan Gollogley , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Carrigeen's goal looked a bit too open when Baodan McGlenn came free, but Bearnad John reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Gortrelig Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flann Crowe to maneuver through the defense. The audience cheered loudly when Bat Rogers's long shot in the 26th minute became 2-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Bevan Gollogley . Bearnad John didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremiah Gollogley went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Gortrelig Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Donelle Dempsey scored to the left of an out of position Bevan Gollogley , making the score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baodan McGlenn made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Baodan McGlenn recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bearnad John. Baodan McGlenn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. After 58 played minutes Gortrelig Utd got a freekick which was hit by Flann Crowe. If Donelle Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Donelle Dempsey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Bevan Gollogley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th match minute, Carrigeen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harkin Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. Bearnad John made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Jeremiah Gollogley sent off a good shot on target. Jeremiah Gollogley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Bearnad John tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Baodan McGlenn fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bearnad John, passed just outside the right post. In the 87th minute, Donelle Dempsey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carrigeen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. 90 minutes into the game, Carrigeen's Donelle Dempsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bevan Gollogley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bivitas McDecland in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bevan Gollogley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carrigeen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gortrelig Utd had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
