Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Brigid Perth kicked off to start the match. Baiste Prunty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blathmacc Scully in the 3rd minute of play. Baiste Prunty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blathmacc Scully, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. When Brigid Perth came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Kilmeedy AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brigid Perth couldn't finish the play. If Brigid Perth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braonain Tierney hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Blathmacc Scully who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballymullen FC's Baiste Prunty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baiste Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flannery Sheridan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blathmacc Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roordan Branson made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Rian McPhil sent off a good shot on target. Blathmacc Scully received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Baiste Prunty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brigid Perth took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baiste Prunty. Baiste Prunty dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 37 minutes into the game, Brigid Perth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Baiste Prunty was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rian McPhil got free with Roordan Branson in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th match minute, Ballymullen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brasil Myler to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reilley Ryan was the one to do the kick off. If Blathmacc Scully had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blathmacc Scully fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baiste Prunty having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Ballymullen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert McAlphie to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 65 in the game by Blathmacc Scully from a close distance when the talented Baiste Prunty managed to make a qualified save. Ballymullen FC's players were relieved. In the 76th minute, Ballymullen FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Brigid Perth fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ballymullen FC's Baiste Prunty proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Ballymullen FC from getting a goal against them. Daron Colwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballymullen FC's goalkeeper Baiste Prunty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kilmeedy AFC were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Ballymullen FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carrigan Harkin took the corner. Blathmacc Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brigid Perth in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baiste Prunty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 89th minute, Ballymullen FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Braonain Tierney fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kilmeedy AFC's Brigid Perth managed to work through Ballymullen FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Brigid Perth dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Baiste Prunty didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. 95 minutes into the match, Ballymullen FC's goalkeeper Baiste Prunty had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blathmacc Scully. Kilmeedy AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
