Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Finian Ryan started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Capnagower AFC booed when Raleagh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taveon Caffey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Derin McWilliam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bel Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bantry Prunty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beagan Coyle in the 10th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Raleagh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis McTom. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bel Taylor in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Derin McWilliam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raonall Lester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derin McWilliam having to interfere. Sean Ramsey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bantry Prunty came out and tried to block the shot, but Sean Ramsey slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Beagan Coyle scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bantry Prunty, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raleagh AFC's Bantry Prunty proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Raleagh AFC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dermot McLiam got free with Bantry Prunty in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Derin McWilliam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bel Taylor in the 36th minute of the match. Eoghan Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Derin McWilliam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bel Taylor scored 3-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Derin McWilliam, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Derin McWilliam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bel Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The audience was convinced that Bel Taylor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Derin McWilliam was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eoghan Lavine was the one to do the kick off. Bel Taylors short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Derin McWilliam to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Capnagower AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Bel Taylor scored to the left of an out of position Derin McWilliam, making the score, 3-3. Derin McWilliam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bel Taylor in the 61st minute. Eoghan Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Derin McWilliam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Eoghan Lavine kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Derin McWilliam. That made the score 3-4 in the 66 minute of play. With a little luck, Capnagower AFC's Derin McWilliam got control of the ball when Bel Taylor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute, Eoghan Lavine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Raleagh AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. Derin McWilliam made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Bel Taylor sent off a good shot on target. Bel Taylor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Derin McWilliam came out and tried to block the shot, but Bel Taylor slotted it home off the left post making it 3-6 in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute Eoghan Lavine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derin McWilliam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eoghan Lavine was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Raleagh AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Eoghan Lavine did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-7 to the left of a surprised Derin McWilliam 89 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Raleagh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dermot McLiam came free, but Bantry Prunty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes Capnagower AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Cassin. Dennis McTom was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Raleagh AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
