Robert McAlphie hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Beag Prunty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rian McPhil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevion McPeter having to interfere. When Reilley Ryan came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Ballymullen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reilley Ryan couldn't finish the play. When Rian McPhil came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ballymullen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rian McPhil couldn't finish the play. Beag Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thurl Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Baiste Prunty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baiste Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beag Prunty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thurl Taylor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baiste Prunty having to make a save. In the 46th minute, Beag Prunty made a precise shot to the right of Baiste Prunty. Ballymullen FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half Cockow Utd were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Baiste Prunty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cockow Utd. Beag Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baiste Prunty having to interfere. Beag Prunty had several of the Ballymullen FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Baiste Prunty as he didn't even see the shot coming. A hard shot 89 in the game by Basil Hamilton from a close distance when the talented Baiste Prunty managed to make a qualified save. Ballymullen FC's players were relieved. Thurl Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baiste Prunty having to interfere.
