Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Britain Cassin kicked off to start the match. When Britain Cassin fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coulagh's protests and gave Britain Cassin a yellow card for diving instead. Carrigan Harkin's late challenge caught a Coulagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carrigan Harkin helped the player get up and apologised. Carrigan Harkin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Coulagh's Beollan Quinnless got a free kick in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Britain Cassin in the 27th minute of play forced Kilmeedy AFC's goalkeeper Roordan Branson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Blathmacc Scully had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bras Harkin. Coulagh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blathmacc Scully was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 38th minute Enda Dunne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roordan Branson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Coulagh's Enda Dunne got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 44th match minute, Coulagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petran Deery to maneuver through the defense. Beollan Quinnless charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beollan Quinnless the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Brigid Perth to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Blathmacc Scully kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bras Harkin. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Brigid Perth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bras Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phillip McOliver lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Phillip McOliver kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of Kilmeedy AFC booed when Coulagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fionntán McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Britain Cassin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Roordan Branson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Petran Deery's late challenge caught a Kilmeedy AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Brigid Perth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bras Harkin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Coulagh's Beollan Quinnless got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Beollan Quinnless off the ground. The supporters of Kilmeedy AFC booed when Coulagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beollan Quinnless didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Brigid Perth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bras Harkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brigid Perth in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brigid Perth in the 83rd minute of play forced Coulagh's goalkeeper Bras Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kilmeedy AFC's goalkeeper Roordan Branson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Britain Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Brigid Perth dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bras Harkin, 1-3. When the match was over Kilmeedy AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Coulagh throughout the match.
