The audience thought a goal was coming when Briain Grant got free with Kevion McPeter in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bat McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thurl Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry McNamara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thurl Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harry McNamara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beag Prunty, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Thurl Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thurl Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 47 minutes, Thurl Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cockow Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thurl Taylor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bat McWilliam to strike the kick off in the second half. Basil Matthews charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basil Matthews the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Torrian Matthews in the 53rd minute really tested Harry McNamara's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thurl Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bresal Lavine kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Harry McNamara made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Beag Prunty sent off a good shot on target. Barra O'Brien hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Torrian Matthews in the 64th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Harry McNamara's left hand side. A collision led to Drommartin AFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Brendanus Sheridan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Drommartin AFC's zone, Thurl Taylor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry McNamara came out of the goal and Thurl Taylor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes Drommartin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gilbeirt Sheridan. Harry McNamara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thurl Taylor in the 75th minute of the match. Bat McWilliam struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Kevion McPeter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drommartin AFC. Cockow Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drommartin AFC the free kick. A collision led to Cockow Utd getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Basil Hamilton hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Bat McWilliam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevion McPeter was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Beag Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
