The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phillip Brennan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With 53 minutes on the clock, Brain Bayes commited a dangerous tackle. In the 89th minute Brady Horgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beag McDecland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beag McDecland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brady Horgan in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Carrig Colwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ardsbeg's supporters rose to their feet, but Carrig Colwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donleavy McCready breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Corrigeenroe had won after a very even match.
