The supporters of Hilltown booed when Tullow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phillip McWillie didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee ignored Tullow FC's protests and gave Phillip McWillie a yellow card for diving instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gavin Myler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bean Horgan having to interfere. Derrick Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bearnard Kelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
