Aaron Myler hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Bryan McGlenn struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Donleavy McCready didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inniskeen AFC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred McAlphie got free with Donleavy McCready in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Corrigeenroe's Conor Callaghan got a free kick in the 9th minute. Donleavy McCready made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Alfred McAlphie sent off a good shot on target. When Oliver McAaron fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corrigeenroe's protests and gave Oliver McAaron a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Corrigeenroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver McAaron to maneuver through the defense. Bryan McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donleavy McCready having to interfere. Bryan McGlenn might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donleavy McCready. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bryan McGlenn ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfred McAlphie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bryan McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donleavy McCready didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfred McAlphie went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Alfred McAlphie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Donleavy McCready made a huge save. Aaron McWill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Inniskeen AFC's Philip Branson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron McWill in the 45th minute of play. Donleavy McCready took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan McGlenn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brady Horgan was the one to do the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Bryan McGlenn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corrigeenroe's Donleavy McCready was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Bryan McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brady Horgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Branson having to interfere. In the 67th minute Brady Horgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Branson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aaron McWill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Philip Branson having to make a save. Philip Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brady Horgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Brain Crowe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inniskeen AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corrigeenroe the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Inniskeen AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brain Crowe to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Inniskeen AFC's zone, Tathan Byrne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Branson came out of the goal and Tathan Byrne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 74 minutes, Tevin McLaughlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inniskeen AFC and the Corrigeenroe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Inniskeen AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tevin McLaughlin to maneuver through the defense. Brady Horgan struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Blathma Dillon hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the match, Inniskeen AFC's Alfred McAlphie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donleavy McCready narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alfred McAlphie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, Brady Horgan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Philip Branson, 1-1. If Brady Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brady Horgan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Philip Branson came out and tried to block the shot, but Brady Horgan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 91st minute.
