With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eoghan McJames in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beag McDecland saved Ardsbeg from getting behind. 7 minutes into the match, Phillip Brennan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cianán Jameson, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eoghan McJames in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beag McDecland saved Ardsbeg from getting behind. In the 14th minute of the match, Rorey Glen Crowe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cianán Jameson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rorey Glen Crowe might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cianán Jameson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rorey Glen Crowe ran back to his position shaking his head. Cianán Jameson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Phillip Brennan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 18 minute of play. In the 20th minute, Brain Bayes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd match minute, Ardsbeg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carrig Colwell to maneuver through the defense. Beag McDecland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradagain Costello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brain Bayes hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Carrig Colwell kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Ardsbeg's goal looked a bit too open when Eoghan McJames came free, but Beag McDecland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiomoid McTommy during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tiomoid McTommy kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Bradagain Costello who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Beag McDecland when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Ardsbeg getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Brain Bayes hit a great ball. In the 57th minute of the match Berach McGlynn shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beag McDecland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 62 played minutes Ardsbeg got a freekick which was hit by Carrig Colwell. Eoghan McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beag McDecland having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ardsbeg's zone, Bradagain Costello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beag McDecland came out of the goal and Bradagain Costello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 66th minute of the match Carrig Colwell completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Carrig Colwell a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Ardsbeg's Carrig Colwell got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Eoghan McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradagain Costello was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eoghan McJames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beag McDecland having to interfere. Bradagain Costello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute Eoghan McJames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beag McDecland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Bradagain Costello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ardsbeg booed when Frankford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolan Dunne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frankford's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
