The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bhrighde Sheridan hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Logan Kirby kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Bryan McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Logan Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Inniskeen AFC's zone, Bairre John stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Branson came out of the goal and Bairre John tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bairre John received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Philip Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breccan Sheridan scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Philip Branson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Ballinteskin's Payton Dempsey got a free kick in the 29th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Logan Kirby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Philip Branson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Inniskeen AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ballinteskin were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Logan Kirby to make the kick off. Breccan Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ballinteskin's Farrell Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tipper McStephen in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Breslin McBjarton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinteskin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inniskeen AFC the free kick. In the 69th minute, Bairre John hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Bairre John managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballinteskin's supporters rose to their feet, but Bairre John was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Branson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Inniskeen AFC defense, Logan Kirby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Branson. The Inniskeen AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Branson should have stopped the shot. If Bryan McGlenn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Fergal Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ballinteskin's Logan Kirby got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 91st minute, Finbar McJohn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Inniskeen AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ballinteskin were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
