Spectators: 6768 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Braoin Holt kicked off to start the match. After 7 played minutes, Cooraclare's Bairne McBrand shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bin McLaughlin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cooraclare reached it. Herygh Colwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Braoin Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bin McLaughlin having to interfere. Shea Doherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Bray McNamee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Cooraclare's goal looked a bit too open when Shea Doherty came free, but Bray McNamee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cooraclare's Aron McTom got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Braoin Holt came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Cooraclare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braoin Holt couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Cronery's zone, Braoin Holt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bin McLaughlin came out of the goal and Braoin Holt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Braoin Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bin McLaughlin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braoin Holt in the 46th minute of play forced Cronery's goalkeeper Bin McLaughlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Bin McLaughlin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braoin Holt's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After 56 played minutes Cronery got a freekick which was hit by Brogan Morrison. Bin McLaughlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bairne McBrand in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Cooraclare got a freekick which was hit by Aron McTom. Breccan Moran hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Braoin Holt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Bin McLaughlin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Braoin Holt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bin McLaughlin was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. If Shea Doherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Shea Doherty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cronery's supporters rose to their feet, but Shea Doherty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bray McNamee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Braoin Holt might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bin McLaughlin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Braoin Holt ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Aron McTom made a precise shot to the right of Bin McLaughlin. Cronery's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Cooraclare's Braoin Holt got a free kick in the 89th minute. When the match was over Cooraclare could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cronery throughout the match.
