A collision led to Jamestown getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Bhrighde Caffrey hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Breffni McIan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robin McTom was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Reginald McStephen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Robin McTom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baran Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Boddibevve Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reginald McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, sport lisboa benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Reginald McStephen came free, but Robin McTom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin McTom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breffni McIan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cullan Deans to strike the kick off in the second half. Robin McTom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginald McStephen, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Triain Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Reginald McStephen might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robin McTom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reginald McStephen ran back to his position shaking his head. Bodibeve Cooney's late challenge caught a Jamestown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bodibeve Cooney helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to sport lisboa benfica getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bodibeve Cooney hit a great ball. Jamestown's Donlan Deery got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caimin McPhil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Coran McOliver came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Jamestown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Coran McOliver couldn't finish the play. Breffni McIan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Robin McTom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. During the 79th minute of the match Baird Myler completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Baird Myler a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 80th minute, Baird Myler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Breffni McIan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Robin McTom made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Breffni McIan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jamestown's supporters rose to their feet, but Breffni McIan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin McTom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Coran McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Breffni McIan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Breffni McIan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin McTom having to interfere. Robin McTom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donlan Deery went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Jamestown played a much better game than sport lisboa benfica and deserved their victory. The sport lisboa benfica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
