Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute Flannery Silke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevis Caffey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bellavary's zone, Scot Caffrey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bivadi Tracy came out of the goal and Scot Caffrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Carnmalin Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Flannery Silke came free, but Kevis Caffey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breaghdha Silke in the 26th minute of play forced Carnmalin Utd's goalkeeper Kevis Caffey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevis Caffey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breaghdha Silke in the 28th minute of play. Carnmalin Utd's Kevis Caffey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breaghdha Silke in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scot Caffrey in the 32nd minute of play forced Bellavary's goalkeeper Bivadi Tracy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flannery Silke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevis Caffey having to make a save. 41 minutes into the match, Bellavary's goalkeeper Bivadi Tracy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herich McTommy. Breaghdha Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevis Caffey having to interfere. Carrig Beckett charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carrig Beckett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bellavary getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Carrig Beckett hit a great ball. The Carnmalin Utd fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Carnmalin Utd's Herich McTommy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Scot Caffrey was the one to do the kick off. If Scot Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flannery Silke got free with Kevis Caffey in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Breaghdha Silke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevis Caffey having to interfere. The Bellavary players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
