A collision led to Rahans getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Booak Hunt hit a great ball. Reagan Hunt struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Barry McLian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Labbasheeda. Emmet Cronin hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes Labbasheeda got a freekick which was hit by Fionntán McGlynn. After 16 played minutes Rahans got a freekick which was hit by Royan McCready. 19 minutes into the game, Rahans's Terrence Mullan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Blamhac Johnson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Reagan Hunts short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Barry McLian to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Buach Benson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Turlough Ghee charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Turlough Ghee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Turlough Ghee hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Torran Gallagher sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rahans's Barry McLian didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reagan Hunt in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barry McLian saved Rahans from getting behind. Rahans's Terrence Mullan got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Terrence Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Labbasheeda's Blamhac Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terrence Mullan in the 39th minute of play. Royan McCready might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blamhac Johnson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Royan McCready ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the game, Fionntán McGlynn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Labbasheeda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rahans the free kick. Fionntán McGlynn hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 49th minute Royan McCready shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blamhac Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Terrence Mullan was the one to do the kick off. Terrence Mullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Royan McCready blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blamhac Johnson having to make a save. Labbasheeda's Blamhac Johnson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terrence Mullan in the 59th minute of play. Fionntán McGlynn struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Barry McLian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Labbasheeda. The crowd rose to their feet as Rahans's Terrence Mullan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Blamhac Johnson. That made the score 0-2 after 67 minutes of play. Blamhac Johnson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Royan McCready showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 71 minute of play. After 82 played minutes, Rahans's Trevor McDonald shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Blamhac Johnson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rahans reached it. Royan McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rahans booed when Labbasheeda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmet Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Terrence Mullan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Terrence Mullan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blamhac Johnson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Labbasheeda fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty!
