Spectators: 6762 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rannal McTommy got the match started through his kick off. Ballyleen's Isaac Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rannal McTommy in the 10th minute of play. Cacey McBrandon struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Teigue Mulvihill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyleen. After 15 minutes of play, Ballyleen's Beag McLaughlin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teigue Mulvihill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teddy McCollion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaac Colwell having to make a save. Isaac Colwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rannal McTommy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Attiregan's Teigue Mulvihill got control of the ball when Beag McLaughlin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bard Tracy kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Rannal McTommy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Colwell having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ballyleen's Harley McJohnny got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacey McBrandon in the 38th minute of play forced Attiregan's goalkeeper Teigue Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Ballyleen's goal looked a bit too open when Rannal McTommy came free, but Isaac Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Ballyleen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bard Tracy to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacey McBrandon in the 52nd minute of play forced Attiregan's goalkeeper Teigue Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Beag McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacey McBrandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teigue Mulvihill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beag McLaughlin's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 59thth minute of the game Rannal McTommy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballyleen's Isaac Colwell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teddy McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teddy McCollion kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ballyleen's Bard Tracy got a free kick in the 67th minute. The supporters of Ballyleen booed when Attiregan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reagan Johnson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teddy McCollion got free with Isaac Colwell in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Beag McLaughlin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teddy McCollion's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Isaac Colwell firmly grabbed it by the left post. Teddy McCollion struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Isaac Colwell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attiregan. Cacey McBrandon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Teigue Mulvihill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Attiregan's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
