Beaumont FC's Barrie McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fintan McFrancise in the 53rd minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Blar Cronin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rylie Johnson got free with Barrie McGlynn in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Beaumont FC defense, Fintan McFrancise kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barrie McGlynn. The Beaumont FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barrie McGlynn should have stopped the shot. If Rylie Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Fintan McFrancise recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Barrie McGlynn. The referee ignored Clooncan's protests and gave Teigue Costello a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, Clooncan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teigue Costello to maneuver through the defense. Beaumont FC's Barde McMichel got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clooncan's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
