Bow McPhil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleary McWilliam in the 11th minute of play. Bow McPhil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Don McDecland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boethis Doyle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Keely Martyn in the 21st minute. Bar Byrne scored 2-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boethis Doyle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Nutgrove AFC's Boethis Doyle got control of the ball when Keely Martyn tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Nutgrove AFC's Cleary McWilliam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bow McPhil. That made the score 3-1 after 67 minutes of play. 71 minutes into the match, Keely Martyn notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Nutgrove AFC's Boethis Doyle. Boethis Doyle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Boethis Doyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Keely Martyn's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. When Bradley Callaghan fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clontoe's protests and gave Bradley Callaghan a yellow card for diving instead. Bradley Callaghan kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. One of Nutgrove AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Clontoe:s goal. Nutgrove AFC:s Boethis Doyle showed great skill when he stopped Riley Costello:s penalty. A sloppy throw-in by Paul McPeter in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Clontoe's Alan McFrank. The crowd rose to their feet as Nutgrove AFC's Cleary McWilliam slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bow McPhil. That made the score 5-2 after 97 minutes of play.
