Cacey McBrandon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barrie McGlynn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denny Morrison to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Beaumont FC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Duggan. Beaumont FC's Barrie McGlynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Beaumont FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 67 minutes, Barde McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beaumont FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barde McMichel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute Denny Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
