Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Shannon Dalton made the kick off and thus started the match. When Shannon Dalton came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Lagacurry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shannon Dalton couldn't finish the play. In the 4th match minute, Lagacurry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradagain McCollion to maneuver through the defense. When Lagacurry's Desmond McJohnny in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Strand's goalie prevented a goal. After 16 played minutes Strand got a freekick which was hit by Randal Benson. After 24th play minutes Edwin Murphy shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Rorry Mulvihill and just under the crossbar into goal. Lagacurry's Buach Palmer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Lagacurry from getting a goal against them. After 29 played minutes Lagacurry got a freekick which was hit by Duff MaCollin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Murphy in the 33rd minute of play forced Strand's goalkeeper Rorry Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Buach Palmer made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Nollaig McBrand sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the game, Edwin Murphy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rorry Mulvihill was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oliver McBrand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rorry Mulvihill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Murphy in the 53rd minute of play. When Lagacurry's Edwin Murphy in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Strand's goalie prevented a goal. With his leg Rorry Mulvihill managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Lagacurry's Shannon Dalton fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Strand's Rorry Mulvihill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Murphy in the 62nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edwin Murphy in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rorry Mulvihill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edwin Murphy struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Rorry Mulvihill didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lagacurry. Rorry Mulvihill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edwin Murphy's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes Strand got a freekick which was hit by Randal Benson. After 80 played minutes Strand got a freekick which was hit by Randal Benson. Rorry Mulvihill came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Lagacurry's Shannon Dalton. But to his dismay, Shannon Dalton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After having played for 85 minutes, Oliver McBrand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strand's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver McBrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rorry Mulvihill made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Shannon Dalton sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute Edwin Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rorry Mulvihill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shannon Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Strand's Rorry Mulvihill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Murphy in the 92nd minute of play. Rorry Mulvihill was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Edwin Murphy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edwin Murphy really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6.
