Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Strand's goal looked a bit too open when Irving Branson came free, but Rorry Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Strand's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hayes McVictor was slow to take the kick. During this time Killycross's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Killycross's Hayes McVictor to fire away a dangerous shot which Rorry Mulvihill despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match, Irving Branson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rorry Mulvihill saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Irving Branson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rorry Mulvihill having to interfere. Oliver McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Donavan Frankson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donlan Jameson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 31 played minutes Irving Branson rounded Strand's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 37th match minute, Strand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randal Benson to maneuver through the defense. Oliver McBrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donavan Frankson having to interfere. Donavan Frankson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nollaig McBrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Strand's Rorry Mulvihill got control of the ball when Bras McDonald tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Killycross's zone, Nollaig McBrand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donavan Frankson came out of the goal and Nollaig McBrand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bras McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Strand's Donlan Jameson got a free kick in the 57th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Irving Branson in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rorry Mulvihill saved Strand from getting behind. In the 62nd minute, Oliver McBrand reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donavan Frankson. The goal made the score 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bras McDonald in the 69th minute of play forced Strand's goalkeeper Rorry Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Strand booed when Killycross was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harley Frankson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Donavan Frankson managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Strand's Nollaig McBrand fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 86th play minute Nollaig McBrand came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Donavan Frankson. 2-2.
