Spectators: 6768 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) Shannon Dalton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute, Edwin Murphy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Barrie McGlynn was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Desmond McJohnny in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barrie McGlynn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the game, Blar Cronin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beaumont FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lagacurry the free kick. Blar Cronin kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th match minute, Beaumont FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blar Cronin to maneuver through the defense. Edwin Murphy took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barrie McGlynn. Barrie McGlynn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 21st minute Edwin Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barrie McGlynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Beaumont FC defense, Shannon Dalton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barrie McGlynn. The Beaumont FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barrie McGlynn should have stopped the shot. Beaumont FC's Barrie McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Murphy in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Shannon Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barrie McGlynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Edwin Murphy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lagacurry fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Barrie McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Murphy in the 44th minute of play. Shannon Dalton might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barrie McGlynn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shannon Dalton ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Lagacurry were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denny Morrison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Shannon Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barrie McGlynn having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edwin Murphy in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barrie McGlynn saved Beaumont FC from getting behind. The Lagacurry fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Lagacurry's Desmond McJohnny looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Shannon Dalton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barrie McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Murphy in the 63rd minute of play. Barrie McGlynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Murphy, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Buach Palmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Duggan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 79 played minutes Lagacurry got a freekick which was hit by Duff MaCollin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edwin Murphy in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barrie McGlynn saved Beaumont FC from getting behind. Shannon Dalton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Barrie McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
