But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bat Horgan couldn't finish the play. Ferdia Molloy charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferdia Molloy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ferdia Molloy hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Phillip McWillie sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ballyroe's Binean Delaney didn't even have to move. Binean Delaney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bat Horgan in the 19th minute of the match. Brendon Cassin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Ballyroe's Binean Delaney got control of the ball when Breed McWilliam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Darick John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keefe Colwell having to interfere. Keefe Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pauric Matthews, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A wasted opportunity for Ballyroe. 56 minutes into the game, Bardain McPhil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knocknahoran Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyroe the free kick. The supporters of Ballyroe booed when Knocknahoran Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bardain McPhil didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Danann McJon from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Keefe Colwell's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Keefe Colwell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darick John, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendon Cassin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Keefe Colwell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Keefe Colwell came out of the goal and Darick John tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brendon Cassin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 81st playminute. When Brendon Cassin came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Ballyroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brendon Cassin couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, Brendon Cassin notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Knocknahoran Utd's Keefe Colwell. Keefe Colwell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Ballyroe left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Knocknahoran Utd.
