Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Davie McWill kicked off to start the match. Mulroog's Blanaid McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davie McWill in the 9th minute of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Davie McWill who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mulroog's Blanaid McGlynn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Banban Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Blanaid McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Davie McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mulroog's Blanaid McGlynn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davie McWill in the 23rd minute of play. Davie McWill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Banban Hamilton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Davie McWill recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Blanaid McGlynn. Davie McWill showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 36 minutes into the match, Killeagh's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Byrne came free, but Benedict Perth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Blanaid McGlynn made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Banban Hamilton sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Mulroog's Keelin Ferguson got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Banban Hamilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rourke Deans charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rourke Deans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Mulroog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rourke Deans to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gil Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Killeagh got a freekick which was hit by Bret Bayes. Gil Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Banban Hamilton came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Killeagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Banban Hamilton couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Killeagh booed when Mulroog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rourke Deans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davie McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Blanaid McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedict Perth having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Dawayne Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedict Perth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toran Cassin, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Banban Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Blanaid McGlynn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Killeagh's Benedict Perth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Byrne in the 87th minute of play. If Davie McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Killeagh's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
