Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) Ballyvaughan AFC's Theodore Doyle started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Theodore Doyle recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benedict Perth. Theodore Doyle showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Paud Todd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davie McWill in the 9th minute of play. Paud Todd came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Killeagh's Davie McWill. But to his dismay, Davie McWill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Killeagh getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bret Bayes hit a great ball. Carrigan Tracy's late challenge caught a Killeagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carrigan Tracy helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Killeagh booed when Ballyvaughan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carrigan Tracy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Banban Hamilton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paud Todd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Beckett O'Neill received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benedict Perth came out and tried to block the shot, but Beckett O'Neill slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 20th minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballyvaughan AFC's goalkeeper Paud Todd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carrigan Tracy kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Ballyvaughan AFC's Paud Todd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Banban Hamilton in the 30th minute of play. Breaghdha Dempsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedict Perth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Breaghdha Dempsey ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Killeagh's zone, Breaghdha Dempsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedict Perth came out of the goal and Breaghdha Dempsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 minutes of play, Killeagh's Banban Hamilton made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paud Todd was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Davie McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Ballyvaughan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carrigan Tracy to maneuver through the defense. Paud Todd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davie McWill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Davie McWill made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Theodore Doyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Benedict Perth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the match, Killeagh's Davie McWill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paud Todd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Davie McWill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paud Todd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Killeagh's Benedict Perth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodore Doyle in the 74th minute of play. Banban Hamilton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paud Todd having to interfere. Davie McWill kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bradon McAaron during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 97 minutes into the match, Killeagh's Davie McWill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paud Todd narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
