In the 9th minute, Cahir McJohnny reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Blanaid McGlynn. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 17th minute of the match Cianán McTommy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teigue Callaghan skillfully saved the ball. In the 18th minute, Gil Byrne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cahir McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Gil Branson lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Blanaid McGlynn. Rourke Deans hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Toran Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teigue Callaghan having to interfere. Gil Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute of the match Cianán McTommy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teigue Callaghan skillfully saved the ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Gil Byrne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballyboggan FC's Teigue Callaghan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st minute, Cahir McJohnny left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballyboggan FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.

Toran Cassin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Ballyboggan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gil Byrne came free, but Teigue Callaghan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ballyboggan FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ricard Kelly was slow to take the kick. During this time Mulroog's players had a chance to rest. Gil Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mulroog's Toran Cassin got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil Branson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanaid McGlynn having to interfere. Teigue Callaghan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rourke Deans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rourke Beckett hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Gil Byrne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teigue Callaghan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Mulroog's Toran Cassin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mulroog players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ballyboggan FC.
