Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bat Horgan got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Donell Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keefe Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thom Grant in the 6th minute of play forced Knocknahoran Utd's goalkeeper Keefe Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Donell Colwell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keefe Colwell was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Clonbulloge AFC's Donell Colwell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Keefe Colwell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Healy Rutherford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bat Horgan in the 16th minute of the match. Knocknahoran Utd's Keefe Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thom Grant in the 17th minute of play. When Thom Grant came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Clonbulloge AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thom Grant couldn't finish the play. After having played for 22 minutes, Breed McWilliam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knocknahoran Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breed McWilliam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breed McWilliam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Healy Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bat Horgan in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Healy Rutherford saved Clonbulloge AFC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thom Grant in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keefe Colwell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bat Horgan struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Healy Rutherford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knocknahoran Utd. Keefe Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donell Colwell in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute Bat Horgan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Healy Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bat Horgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Donell Colwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thom Grant was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donell Colwell got free with Keefe Colwell in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donell Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Keefe Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thom Grant struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Keefe Colwell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clonbulloge AFC. In the 63rd minute, Bec Dillon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Thom Grant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clonbulloge AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thom Grant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keefe Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the game, Donell Colwell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Keefe Colwell. Donell Colwell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When Donell Colwell came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Clonbulloge AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donell Colwell couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Bec Dillon made a precise shot to the right of Healy Rutherford. Clonbulloge AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Bat Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keefe Colwell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thom Grant in the 87th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Knocknahoran Utd's goalkeeper Keefe Colwell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donell Colwell. If Thom Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breed McWilliam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Healy Rutherford having to interfere.
