After a defensive mix-up in Knocknahoran Utd's zone, Cahir McJohnny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keefe Colwell came out of the goal and Cahir McJohnny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ballyboggan FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Baptist O'Down hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Ballyboggan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bat Horgan came free, but Teigue Callaghan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cahir McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keefe Colwell came out of the goal and Gil Branson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gil Branson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keefe Colwell having to interfere. Gil Branson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Keefe Colwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teigue Callaghan came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Knocknahoran Utd's Bat Horgan. But to his dismay, Bat Horgan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 42nd match minute, Ballyboggan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cahir McJohnny to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Breed McWilliam left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knocknahoran Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Cahir McJohnny who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Keefe Colwell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blamhac Dimson in the 56th minute of play forced Knocknahoran Utd's goalkeeper Keefe Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Breed McWilliam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teigue Callaghan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Bat Horgan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knocknahoran Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Bat Horgan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teigue Callaghan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Breed McWilliam scored 3-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teigue Callaghan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breed McWilliam in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teigue Callaghan saved Ballyboggan FC from getting behind. Keefe Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Branson in the 78th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gil Branson in the 80th managed to get into a good position. Cahir McJohnny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Keefe Colwell made a huge save. Teigue Callaghan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bat Horgan in the 91st minute of play. Cahir McJohnny succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 92nd playminute. Bardain McPhil charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bardain McPhil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bardain McPhil hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Rourke Beckett, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Knocknahoran Utd's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
