Toran Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Healy Rutherford having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Byrne in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Healy Rutherford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20thth minute of the game Gil Byrne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clonbulloge AFC's Healy Rutherford was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gil Byrne's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Healy Rutherford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Clonbulloge AFC's Healy Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Byrne in the 24th minute of play. Thom Grant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Toran Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toran Cassin took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Healy Rutherford. Healy Rutherford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 40th match minute, Clonbulloge AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harold Johnson to maneuver through the defense. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Clonbulloge AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Toran Cassin came free, but Healy Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Donell Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanaid McGlynn having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mulroog had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
