Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gil Byrne kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Toran Cassin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Ballyroe getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Pauric Matthews hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the game, Darick John cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Blanaid McGlynn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ballyroe's Binean Delaney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toran Cassin in the 14th minute of play. Brendon Cassin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Brendon Cassin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blanaid McGlynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toran Cassin struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Binean Delaney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mulroog. When Gil Byrne came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Mulroog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Byrne couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toran Cassin got free with Binean Delaney in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Binean Delaney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Byrne in the 27th minute of play. Ferdia Molloy charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferdia Molloy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ballyroe getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ferdia Molloy hit a great ball. Ricard Kelly was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gil Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Binean Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Darick John managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballyroe's supporters rose to their feet, but Darick John was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blanaid McGlynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darick John sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Toran Cassin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mulroog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toran Cassin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gil Byrne struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Binean Delaney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mulroog. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Pauric Matthews managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballyroe's supporters rose to their feet, but Pauric Matthews was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blanaid McGlynn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darick John to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th match minute, Mulroog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rourke Deans to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Ballyroe's Blanaid McGlynn threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Darick John, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Biviti McBrandon fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballyroe's protests and gave Biviti McBrandon a yellow card for diving instead. Darick John struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Blanaid McGlynn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyroe. The audience was convinced that Toran Cassin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Binean Delaney was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After 75 played minutes Mulroog got a freekick which was hit by Rourke Deans. Toran Cassin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Binean Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darick John blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Blanaid McGlynn having to make a save. If Darick John had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rourke Deans fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mulroog's protests and gave Rourke Deans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Rourke Deans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brendon Cassin scored 0-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Blanaid McGlynn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Darick John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blanaid McGlynn having to interfere. Blanaid McGlynn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darick John in the 96th minute of play.
